"The Dark Tower" images, really done this time...

i put some finishing touches on these two... you probably won't even notice, but i didn't think it was right to leave the other post as representative of the finished pieces... The Dark Tower is a group show that will feature 17 different artists... stay tuned for all the necessary info on the reception/show dates, etc...

here's a couple images i made, for a show called "The Dark Tower" coming up soon at CompactSpace in LA. One of these should be the main flyer image.... official reception is May 29th, 6-9pm, although the show will be open for some LA Art Walks that are happening soon.

new book i'm working on...

here's a couple images from a new, 100 page, hardcover book that i'm working on. it'll be my third. self-published, of course, an edition size of one (because it's all i can afford). any of you willing to drop about $150 (what it will cost me to make one copy) can have one, too. i won't hold my breath. however, this is going to my best photo book yet. all the photos were taken over one night at the Headlands Center for the Arts up in SF, and they will be appear in the book in the order that they were taken. any one know any publisher types?

new pieces for the show on friday... almost done... getting closer..... could use plenty of input, so if you want to post some comments, i'd appreciate it...... otherwise, get your asses to the show on friday and tell me what you think, in person!

this one might be my favorite:

but i do really like these... so much time spent on the ladder drawings that i just completely destroyed with those slashes of paint... don't no if i'll like these two in the morning...

i'm kinda feeling weird about all these pieces, frankly. can't tell if i love them, hate them, both or neither... 

this one's pretty fucking sweet, though. there's some drippage, under a layer of paint and a layer of mist, that's only visible under the right light. i'll try to post better detail pics. love it.
