a bit slow going today, but here's a couple more pics of what i'm up to:

maybe i shouldn't show everyone work before it's finished, but i like to keep the blog as active as possible, so here's a quick shot of what i'm working on... it's probably 30-40% done. there will be a drawing element, those boxes will turn into buildings, the white piece of paper behind the boxes will be an extra-raw city cityscape, the "void un-shape" will get some finalizing touches and touch-ups, there will be gloopy, weird figures lurking all around it.... this will be in LA next month. or rather, whatever the hell it turns out to be... so, stay tuned.

NY Art Book Fair!!

I was very excited to have some of my Move Along People Nothing to Feel Here zine drawings hanging in PS 1 during the 2009 NY Art Book Fair, at the invitation of Darin Klein. he curated and installed the selection, which are some of the original drawings from which i made the zines.... check it out!! Thanks, Darin!! and thanks to everyone who commented on the zines and inquired into/commented on the drawings-- i'd love to hear from you! be in touch!

and, stay tuned for info on my upcoming show in LA-- it's going to be an epic, jam-packed adventure: every Saturday in November there will be a related event (an Animal Charm performance, a reception for the art, a zine fair, a zine release party, DJs and music, etc..) all taking place in the gallery...
